Top10 Travel App’s

It's been a year Traveling on the road, I couldn't have gotten this far without some travel applications that has helped me on the way. In this blog I will share with you the top 10 travel apps and services I use (daily) thats made my adventures that much easier. I've also provided links to every service Ive mentioned.

1.Safety Wing

One of the services I use and partner is Safetywing. A travel and medical incident insurance built specifically for digital nomads. It can be purchased while already abroad, covers home trip visits and covid.

2.Surfshark VPN

When working remote or safely online VPNS are your friends. Another partner of mine is Surfshark. I used their services alot in Turkey unfortunately through political decisions some websites like booking.com isn’t available in that country. With a VPN I am able to bypass the restrictions of the country with a VPN.A VPN like Surfshark works by routing your device's internet connection through your chosen VPNs private server rather than your internet service provider (ISP). By doing so, a VPN changes your visible IP address. A VPN makes it appear as if you're browsing from the VPN server's location instead of your device.

3.Google Maps

Google Maps is a web mapping platform and consumer application offered by Google, It offers Satellite Imager , aerial photography, street maps, 360° interactive panoramic views of streets (Street View), real-time traffic conditions, and route planning for traveling by foot, car, bike, air (in beta) and public transportation.

4.Priority Pass

One of the best perks about traveling internationally is being comfortable in between flights. I’ve had the pleasure of indulging in numerous luxury and business lounges all over the world because of my Priority Pass. Priority Pass is a program that provides members with access to airport lounges around the world, including allowing holders to visit lounges with economy class or premium economy class tickets.

5.Speed Test

Throughout my travels this year I found this app very useful in the hotels or hostels I managed to stay at. This app measures the speeds of the locations where you are, pretty much telling you if you have a strong connection or not in your vicinity.

6.World Currency

World Currency Converter is a free and easy to use currency converter with real time exchange rates. Complete with over 160 different types of currencies to choose from you can easily convert any amount from one currency to another. No clutter.

The Currency Converter has served me well, understanding and converter money on the spot when I land in new destinations. It’s a quick and easy way to understand any countries currency value.

7.Splitwise

Splitwise is the easiest way to share expenses with friends and family and stop stressing about “who owes who.” Millions of people around the world use Splitwise to organize group bills for households, trips, and more.

On a couple occasions this app was great for keeping track of payments amongst some friends of mine in Peru. Through this app we were able to manage and split payments equally amongst ourselves.

An a app I never leave home home without, this app has allowed me to bridge languages gaps all around the world.

Monefy is a personal finance application that makes money management easy. The app is designed to streamline expense tracking and help you save money

I used this app in the earlier stages of my travels, I used this to keep track of finances for my cost of living. The app is great and user friendly, I highly suggest using for keeping track of finances.
