6 lessons I learned growing as a Content Creator

What I’ve Learned 👇🏾

1. Luck: In this game you tend to hear everyone regurgitate the same thing, “be consistent, post 8 times in 7 days etc 😂” Truth is, it’s really LUCK,I think of these platforms as todays Gold Rush,I just kept digging till I struck gold.

2. Consistency: My honest truth, I’ve given up quite a few times, you see it took me 3 years to get to this point. I’ve posted so much to where it’s not even fun anymore but I continued to post whenever I had fresh ideas come to my head. Don’t listen to people who say post everyday or 5 times a day, you will burn out fast! Just post when you like, when it’s your time it’s your time.

3. Be unique: For the past 3 years I’ve pushed myself to make reels like how every creator makes reels on this platform, but I noticed it doesn’t reach people, I couldn’t even scrub 10k views on average. So I stopped caring how my reels looked and put out what I thought was unique. As you can see it reached 1 million accounts in 30 days!

4. Engagement: This goes both both ways,Interact with people, leave comments, show love, blow up peoples profiles with likes, this type of movement worked really well for me as far as building bridges and connecting with other creators.

5. Courage: It’s always that one video you really don’t think highly of that’s going to take you to the next level. You gotta understand, no body knows who you are until you post. It does take courage to put yourself out there but it’s always that one video you don’t think won’t do well THAT WILL DO WELL!

6. MY BIGGEST TIP: I fall guilty of this time and time again, don’t compare yourself to larger creators or their growth strategies, I had to learn to stay in my lane and understand I’m in a race of my own. My advice would too look at creators who share the same vision as you or followers and learn from each other and grow from there. This online rat race will have you stressed out making content you don’t like for people you don’t even know.
